Pillars of TC Soccer

Cultivating Christ-like Character:

We believe character comes before competition.
At Team Church, we help kids practice patience, humility, integrity, and self‑control—whether they win or lose. Players are encouraged to show respect to coaches, officials, teammates, and opponents. Our goal is for children to learn attitudes and behaviors that reflect Jesus both on and off the field.

Fostering Teamwork and Unity:

Sports teach important lessons about belonging.
We help kids understand what it means to work together, encourage others, and celebrate each teammate’s strengths. Just as every part of the body of Christ has value, every player has a meaningful role in creating a positive team experience.

Demonstrating Love and Kindness:

We want each child to feel seen, valued, and supported.
Our programs emphasize kindness, empathy, and forgiveness—not just toward teammates, but toward opponents as well. We strive to make the field a place where children experience God’s love and learn to extend it to others.

Promoting Perseverance and Resilience through Faith:

Sports naturally bring challenges, mistakes, and moments of frustration.
We teach children to persevere when things get tough, to learn from setbacks, and to trust in God’s strength when their own feels small. Resilience grows when kids are reminded that God is with them in every challenge and victory.

Glorifying God Through Play:

Play is a gift from God—and a chance to honor Him.
We encourage athletes to use their energy, joy, and talents with gratitude and integrity. Whether practicing, competing, or simply having fun, we want players to understand they can glorify God through their attitude, effort, and sportsmanship.

Bill Bode is our new Team Church sports director. Bill comes to Team Church after spending 30 years in the CMS school system as a PE teacher and award winning coach who specialized in creating sports strategies that are used to make sports more fun, learn life lessons and remain competitive for all athletes. Your kids are going to love Team Church Sports!
